Summary[]
- The group of Star Sapphires has entered the solar system but is not responding to hails, including one that appears to be planetoid-sized
- A Green Lantern has been sent for to help Kai-Ro recover from the strain of Shahrazad's assault
- There turn out to be two Green Lanterns: Guy Gardner and a planetoid-sized creature called Mogo
- Gardner says that he's going to do psychological counselling on Kai-Ro while Mogo will examine the power ring itself
- Superman Secundus goes to intercept the group of Star Sapphires to try and discover their intention, but communication is lost
- Only when they reach Earth, do the Star Sapphires communicate: demanding that the Sinestro Corpsman being held by China be turned over to them
- Guy Gardner is sent to talk to them in orbit, as a representative of one Lantern Corps to another, but his "diplomacy" fails and he is blasted back to Earth, and Kai-Ro uses the last of his power to save Gardner's life
- The Justice League send two groups to intercept the two groups of Star Sapphires. One group is attacked, but Animal Woman and Steel Shiva manage to get them to negotiate and they return back to the World to check on Superman Secundus and for talks
- Superman has been temporarily stunned by a conversion crystal but there will be no lasting damage. The Justice League explain about Earth's internal politics and get the Sapphires to agree to make an extradition request through the United Nations
- A distress call is received from Kai-Ro - something's going badly wrong with his ring. Kid Flash rushes to his aid, but is kept at bay by some sort of green and yellow energy field
- Sinestro emerges from the ring, pledging vengeance on the planet Earth!
